Kenyan Government Challenges ICC Involvement in Post-Election Violence Case
01 Apr 2011
Dear all,

The Kenyan Government filed two petitions on 31 March 2011, challenging the ICC's involvement in the cases against the six suspects accused of having played a role in the 2007-2008 Kenyan post-election violence. Please find the media advisory issued by the CICC on the petitions at: http://coalitionfortheicc.org/documents/Kenya_article_19_CICC_advisory_010411.pdf

The link to the petitions can be accessed at http://www.icc-cpi.int/NR/exeres/B4FCC654-61A1-4786-B5C6-B9CA8426159D.htm and http://www.icc-cpi.int/NR/exeres/D661929B-43E4-4382-9926-A3051CA7F76F.htm

The petitions themselves would not suspend the initial appearance before the Court of the six accused next Thursday 7 March and Friday 8 March.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you need further information.
