Rome Statute   The Lao People\'s Democratic Republic has not acceded to the Statute. In early 2005, the Lao government in coordination with UNDP and the EU initiated a project aimed at promoting ratification and implementation of the Rome Statute. Lao PDR needs to fully implement the RS prior to ratification. As of mid 2006, a proposal based on the study to implement the RS was still with the Prime Minister\'s Office. No further information has been received in 2007.
Agreement on Privileges and Immunities The Lao People\'s Democratic Republic has not acceded to the Agreement on Privileges and Immunities if the ICC.
Bilateral Immunity Agreement Signed 24 December 2003.
Implementing Legislation In cooperation with international agencies, the government hired an international consultant to evaluate the necessary requirements to complete ICC Implementing legislation, as the country needs to fulfill this step prior to ratifying. As of late 2007, a proposal based on the study to implement the RS is still with the PM\'s Office.
